Lisa Kaschubat (she/ they) is a transdisciplinary visual artist based in Berlin. She studied at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) in the Performance and Time-Based Media class of Mathilde ter Heijne and in the Sculpture class of Monica Bonvicini. Her practice explores themes of corporeality, interhuman relations, and emancipation, and their intersections with technology and virtuality. By merging virtual and physical space and employing various technologies such as XR, digital worldbuilding, and 3D animation in combination with performance and sculptural practices, Kaschubat challenges conventional distinctions between the real and the virtual, as well as between digital and physical corporeality.
Her works have been presented at numerous festivals and exhibitions in and beyond Berlin, including the TANZ TAUSCH Festival in Cologne, B3 Biennial of the Moving Image in Frankfurt am Main, Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) in Berlin, HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts in Dresden, and Videoformes in France.
